Abberley Adjustable Beds For The Disabled

adjustable beds disabled

Choosing the right adjustable bed for the disabled is important in health and social care at home, yet the importance of providing the right adjustable bed for the disabled AND carer is sometimes overlooked i.e. the disabled person doesn’t want their disabled bed to resemble a hospital bed, but the carer, needs the disable bed to function like a hospital bed, including adjusting to the correct height.

Unlike standard hospital beds, Abberley adjustable beds for the disabled have a 5-part frame. The mattress can be profiled to sit the user up and prevent them slipping down the bed, and the height is adjustable. Movement is controlled by the carer and, if appropriate, the disabled person, with the use of a bedside handset.

Abberley adjustable beds for the disabled are available upholstered in faux leather which is soft to handle, wipe clean and M.R.S.A infection resistant. A choice of mattress including pressure relieving memory foam and optional moisture resistant cover. Optional side rails and grab rails are available as well as cut-outs for a hoist if required.

Abberley adjustable beds for the disabled can be made to look just like any other of our adjustable beds, so can be paired with any adjustable bed in our range i.e. making a double adjustable bed.
